Karma has 25+ years of therapeutic experience.

Karma graduated from UCI with a BA in Psychology and Social Behavior. She then graduated from CSUF with a MS in Counseling with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. Karma was also trained by UCD in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps people work through traumas/PTSD. Lastly, Karma has a 2-year certificate from Cottonwood School of Ministry and offers Christian Counseling upon request.

Karma has worked in the non-profit and private practice industry for many years in a therapeutic capacity. She has extensive experience with many types of struggles that people are working through such as Anxiety, Depression, PTSD/Trauma, Child Abuse, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and much more.

Furthermore, she has worked with severely emotionally disturbed youth and their families providing counseling services. Karma has worked with individuals, couples and families for many years.

Lastly, Karma has many years of experience supervising therapists and directing therapeutic programs.  

Mary Redoutey

Mary received her BA in Communications from CSUF. She also has a MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco.

Mary has had experience with a variety of ages from children to adults conducting individual, couples and family therapy. She has worked with a wide range of diagnoses such as Depression, Anxiety, Autism, Addiction, Grief issues, Oppositional Behaviors and more. Her experience came from working with The Center for Social Cognition, Family Services, and Pathways to Wellness Medication Clinic. Furthermore, she has been working at Waves of Peace Counseling Services for many years doing individual, family, and couples therapy.

Mary also had experience collaborating with other professionals on the behalf of her clients. Some of these professionals consisted of Teachers and Doctors. This was helpful in the case management and collaborative aspect of the client’s situation at the client’s request. She also does well supervisor other associates as a Clinical Supervisor and enjoys this part of her job very much.


Lastly, Mary has a variety of experience with various therapeutic modalities of which include but are not limited to the Family Systems approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Robin Milner

Robin went to Bradford College and received her BA degree in human studies with an emphasis in Psychology. Then she moved on to Antioch New England Graduate School and received an MA in Counseling Psychology.

Robin has experience with a wide variety of mental health issues including substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, crisis issues, unresolved grief, and more. She takes a holistic and  an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, drawing from many different psychoanalytic/behavioral theories, adapting her approach to the unique needs of each individual client to help them accomplish their goals.  Robin utilizes a variety of therapeutic methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Meditation/Mindfulness in her client-centered sessions.

Ime Attah

Ime received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services from CSU Dominguez Hills and a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from CSU Northridge.

Ime Attah has over 14+ years of therapeutic experience alongside mentoring and mediation work. She has worked with children, families, and adults within the academic, social work, private practice, and court sectors. Ime has worked with clients diagnosed with ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression and more. She also has several years of experience working with associates supervising them while they gain their hours towards licensure.

Throughout her career she has provided a range of therapeutic modalities such as Sandtray therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to those experiencing substance abuse, ADHD, behavioral challenges, domestic violence, trauma, depression, anxiety and more. She has honed her skills reviewing psychological evaluations, court and medical reports, as well as assessing the strengths and needs of clients. As an advocate for children’s and adults’ health and wellness, she is committed to supporting youth, resolving family conflicts and promoting healthy interactions. Ime is passionate about working with youth, especially marginalized youth, and their families. Ime provides clients with an outlet as well as resources to thrive and become productive adults.

There have been many things in life that have shaped Ime’s perspective on taking a holistic approach to address substance abuse, mental health, and life issues in order to develop healthy coping skills. She encourages all to find a healthy balance between mind and body by using simple steps and strategies to improve the way one thinks, looks, and feels about oneself. Lastly, Ime believes in encouraging clients who are working to maintain a healthy lifestyle while managing responsibilities such as career, school, family and interpersonal relationships.

Jacqueline Valdovinos

Jacqueline Valdovinos is a bilingual (English/Spanish) mental health therapist with over 10+ years of therapeutic experience working with individuals, youth, and families in community mental health, hospital, substance abuse treatment, and nonprofit settings.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Chicano/a Studies from California State University, Dominguez Hills and her Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s University.

Throughout her career, Jacqueline has provided counseling services to severely emotionally disturbed youth and their families, while also gaining extensive experience in hospital settings and with individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. She has supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, child abuse, domestic violence, personality disorders, and other mental health–related challenges.

In addition to her clinical experience, Jacqueline has over three years of leadership experience supervising therapists and directing therapeutic programs. She is passionate about providing culturally sensitive, compassionate, and client-centered care to diverse populations.

Our associate therapists are mental health professionals who are working towards full licensure.

They have a master’s degree in either counseling, social work, psychology etc. and have completed a number of hours of supervised clinical experience.

These therapists are able to provide a variety of mental health services including individual, couple, and family therapy.

Our Associate therapists are supervised by one of our licensed therapists to build and enhance their skill base.

Gian Densing

Associate Therapist – AMFT #139202

Gian has a Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Fullerton. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with an emphasis in Mental Health from the California State University, Fullerton.

Gian has experience working with adults with Depression, Anxiety, Self-Worth and more. He also has experience providing therapy to the LGBTQIA+ community. Furthermore, he has spent some time focusing on issues specific to men. Gian utilizes a compassionate, culturally informed, and empathic approach in therapy to help people reduce shame and feel heard.

Gian has also worked with the youth population helping them through tough times in school and personal life. Gian has dealt with issues for youth such as but not limited to Anxiety and Depression.

Lastly, Gian provided case management services to people experiencing homelessness, volunteered at a sexual assault survivor hotline, and has completed a 40-Hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training.

During his undergraduate education, Zoey contributed to a research publication focused on multilingual children and language switching. She then utilized the research findings and worked as a teacher’s assistant.

Sheila Chambers

Sheila has a Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton. She also has a Bachelor of Art degree in

communications from California State University, Long Beach. Sheila had a prior career as a tenured Art Professor for 26 years teaching undergraduates, of which she obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree from Marywood University.

She then retired from that career and started a career in counseling. When useful to the client and as an as needed basis, Sheila can incorporate expressive arts exercises into therapeutic interventions as a complement to talk therapy. She also guides the process of therapy by using CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help the client discover unproductive patterns of thinking. Sheila uses ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help clients accept and undergo challenging feelings, as well as commit to actions which best reflect their core values.

Sheila has prior experience dealing with clients who have had anxiety, depression, compulsions, trauma, shame, prolonged grief, low self-esteem and more. She worked at a community mental health center, a community college counseling center, and a residential teen crisis shelter. Marina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

Marina especially enjoys working with children and teens, often incorporating play therapy techniques and creative interventions to help young clients build emotional awareness, strengthen communication, and develop healthy coping skills. Laura Shube

Office manager

As our Office Manager, Laura Shube brings exceptional qualifications and dedication to our practice. With a BA in Psychology from UCLA and an MA in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, Laura combines academic excellence with practical expertise.

Laura oversees our administrative operations, supervising staff, and coordinating directly with therapists and the company president. She expertly manages billing processes and insurance verification, advocating for clients to maximize their coverage benefits as much as possible. Her thorough understanding of insurance policies ensures smooth financial transactions for everyone.

In addition to her administrative leadership, Laura assists clients with appointment scheduling and payment options, helping them navigate whether to use insurance benefits or self-pay arrangements, while letting the final decision be left up to the client. Her background in psychology and counseling provides her with unique insight into client needs, making her an invaluable asset to both our team and the clients we serve.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Lillian Mitrovic

Administrative Assistant

Lillian Mitrovic was born in Torrance, CA, and brings over 15 years of experience in management, customer service, and international sales. She is fluent in Spanish and previously lived abroad in Peru, where she worked in office management.

Most recently, she served as Administrator at Los Altos United Methodist Church and at Christian Outreach in Action in Long Beach, where she oversaw daily operations, coordinated staff schedules, and supported community programs.

Lillian enjoys music and traveling. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Multinational Business from Florida State University.


At Waves of Peace Counseling Services, Lillian is the welcoming face who greets clients as they arrive. She overlooks daily office operations, manages scheduling, answers incoming calls, and supports the clinical team in keeping the practice running smoothly.
