Waves of Peace Counseling Services provides a non-judgmental approach to help clients build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they would like to achieve.

We offer a complementary set of methodologies and techniques to provide a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. Some of these methodologies consist of the Family System’s approach and the Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic approach. The ultimate goal of Waves of Peace Counseling Services is to help clients navigate through situations in a healthier manner, whether it is coping with life transitional stages, or more challenging topics such as depression or anxiety. All of these topics are important and can lend to the need for extra support.

Karma Brownlee Limon

Karma has 25+ years of therapeutic experience.

Karma graduated from UCI with a BA in Psychology and Social Behavior. She then graduated from CSUF with a MS in Counseling with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. Karma was also trained by UCD in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps people work through traumas/PTSD. Lastly, Karma has a 2-year certificate from Cottonwood School of Ministry and offers Christian Counseling upon request.

Karma has worked in the non-profit and private practice industry for many years in a therapeutic capacity. She has extensive experience with many types of struggles that people are working through such as Anxiety, Depression, PTSD/Trauma, Child Abuse, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and much more.

Furthermore, she has worked with severely emotionally disturbed youth and their families providing counseling services. Karma has worked with individuals, couples and families for many years.

Lastly, Karma has many years of experience supervising therapists and directing therapeutic programs.  

Tina Logan

Tina has a BA in Clinical Psychology from the Union Institute. She has a MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University.

Tina has gained therapeutic experience working with children, families, adults and couples. Tina specializes in grief & loss, relationships, personal issues, work concerns, and parenting skills.

At Waves Of Peace Counseling Services Tina has worked with individuals, families and couples. She has worked with Depression, Anxiety, Relational Issues, Trauma, Parenting Skills and more.

Mary Redoutey

licensed therapist – lmft #28039

22+ years of therapeutic experience

BA in Communications from CSUF. She also has a MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco.

Mary has had experience with a variety of ages from children to adults conducting individual, couples and family therapy. She has worked with a wide range of diagnoses such as Depression, Anxiety, Autism, Addiction, Grief issues, Oppositional Behaviors and more in her past experience before she came to Waves of Peace Counseling Services.

Like checking your temperature when you’re sick, these tests help professionals understand what’s going on inside you, so they can determine a clear diagnosis.

Dr. Ali Zandi

Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PsyD – PSY26391

Dr. Zandi is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in Psychological Testing and Evaluation for Psychological Disorders such as Autism Spectrum, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Learning Disorders for both children, teens and adults.

People often seek out a Psychologist to help them identify and diagnose psychological, learning, and processing disorders through the testing process coupled with a thorough interview process.

Dr. Zandi’s evaluation process includes state-of-the-art psychological and neuropsychological assessment measures and a thorough clinical interview. He takes a holistic approach to evaluations that value your unique story and life circumstances. He can also assist you in utilizing your testing to obtain academic and occupational services along with appropriate treatments.

This work can help you build self-awareness of your strengths and growth points. Dr. Zandi’s goal is for you to have a deeper understanding of yourself and the tools to navigate life’s challenges effectively.


Waves’ Associate Therapists

Our associate therapists are mental health professionals who are working towards full licensure.

They have a master’s degree in either counseling, social work, psychology etc. and have completed a number of hours of supervised clinical experience.

These therapists are able to provide a variety of mental health services including individual, couple, and family therapy.

Our Associate therapists are supervised by one of our licensed therapists to build and enhance their skill base.

Grace Kim

Associate therapist – AMFT #125093

Grace earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a specialization in Asian American Studies from UCLA. She then moved on to obtain a Master of Science degree from Her Fuller’s School of Psychology in Marriage and Family Therapy, further honing her skills in therapeutic interventions and family dynamics.

Her career journey has included providing counseling services for children and families at the El Monte Police Department, as well as serving as a therapist within a school district and a child guidance center.

Her fluency in both English and Korean enables her to effectively connect with clients from different linguistic backgrounds, fostering a deeper level of understanding and rapport.

Grace’s professional focus encompasses a breadth of issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, parenting, panic attacks, marital issues, cross-cultural challenges of the immigrant experience and spiritual integration. She also has experience with a diverse culture background of people. Her empathetic approach and ability to create a safe, nurturing environment has made a significant impact on the lives of her clients. Grace also offers Christian based therapeutic counseling upon request.

Grace is currently offering therapy sessions as a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) under the supervision of Karma Brownlee Limon, LMFT, who brings over 25 years of therapeutic experience to her. Grace has 3+years of experience as well.

Gian Densing

Associate Therapist – AMFT #139202

Gian has a Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Fullerton. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with an emphasis in Mental Health from the California State University, Fullerton.

Gian has experience working with adults with Depression, Anxiety, Self-Worth and more. He also has experience providing therapy to the LGBTQIA+ community. Furthermore, he has spent some time focusing on issues specific to men. Gian utilizes a compassionate, culturally informed, and empathic approach in therapy to help people reduce shame and feel heard.

Gian has also worked with the youth population helping them through tough times in school and personal life. Gian has dealt with issues for youth such as but not limited to Anxiety and Depression.

Lastly, Gian provided case management services to people experiencing homelessness, volunteered at a sexual assault survivor hotline, and has completed a 40-Hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training.

Jiayi Wang aka Zoey

Zoey has a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She also has an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

Zoey is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese and can conduct therapy in either language.

During his undergraduate education, Zoey contributed to a research publication focused on multilingual children and language switching. She then utilized the research findings and worked as a teacher’s assistant.

During Zoey’s graduate program she provided counseling in a school setting with youth from various cultural backgrounds and ages and family therapy. Zoey has worked with a variety of diagnoses such as but not limited to Depression, Anxiety and Oppositional Defiance.

JiYoung Wittemore Kim AKA Wittemore

Associate therapist – AMFT #144043

Wittemore has a Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy from Biola University. He also holds a Bachelor of Art in Psychology and Social Behavior from University of California, Irvine. 

Wittemore is fluent in English and Korean and can conduct therapy in either language.

As a therapist, Wittemore has had experience working with adolescents and adults who struggled with issues such as lack of Self-Worth, Guilt/Shame, Mood Disorders, Anxiety, and more. He has experience working with people of varying cultural, social, and religious backgrounds. Wittemore focuses on providing a culturally informed, empathetic approach to therapy.

Wittemore uses an eclectic approach to therapy

using Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and more. At Biola University, Wittemore studied spiritual formation and can offer Christian Counseling upon request.

Angela Nguyen

Angela has a Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton, where she received training in a dual licensure program; thus, Angela can provide mental health services as an associate marriage and family therapist and as an associate professional clinical counselor. Angela also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Asian American Studies from California State University of Fullerton.

Angela is fluent in English and Vietnamese and can conduct therapy in either language.


Angela has worked in various mental health settings such as community mental health and addiction treatment centers. A major focus in her work has been anxiety management and guiding her clients to foster healthy coping skills, reduce stress, and prevent burnout. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Angela has assisted clients in clearing target memories utilizing bilateral stimulations during EMDR therapy sessions. Angela has experience working with adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, bicultural issues, self-esteem, and more. She also has experience providing therapy to adult clients in the addiction recovery setting. Angela utilizes a person-centered and humanistic approach when working with clients because often clients deal with internalized shame and negative core beliefs. Angela also uses cognitive behavioral therapy as well. Angela has also worked with the adolescent population during the pandemic in which she helped clients address bicultural issues with having to attend school from home. Furthermore, Angela has experience working with adolescents who have Anxiety and Depression and other issues as well as working with their parents to help with parenting skills and adjusting to the behaviors of the child/teen.

Laura Shube

Office manager

Laura has a BA in Psychology from UCLA. She has a MA in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

Laura Shube, as office manager, is usually the first contact with clients and helps navigate appointments with the therapists.  She helps clients establish the method of payment they would like to use whether they are paying out of pocket or using their insurance company.

Laura is a fantastic asset to our team.
